we have finally reached the park!!!!
POPS.... the place for all soda.....
toy museum... I am getting dizzy........
oh gosh... this entry is so dam late... but better than never right??
went on a 2d 1n tirp to oklahoma and visited precious moments park in carthage....on 20th dec 2007....
visited a toy museum..went on a river cruise in the bitter cold to view some christmas lights...appraently the week before we arrived there was a hurricane and blew away some of the trees with lights too.... bad bad....
stopped by POPS, a restuarant cum shop tats sells millions of soda drinks in glass bottles... (on man... wished we had these back in SIng)
I slurped a cream soda one.. and it was really delicious.....sadly I bought only 2 bottles... have to severely ration my remaining bottle
And of course the highlight was the precious moments park man....the one and only in the world.
The founder SAM BROWN happened to pass by the plot of land and felt that it was peaceful and serene enough to build his park, chapel and a museum there. Its really damm isolated...miles away from the main streets, with a river running slowly behind..... maybe perhaps GOD should speak to him and build one in a more central and convenient location.... ha ha....then I can continue with my collection.....
theres the fun and collectors club which you can join each year and it comes along with a free figurine each...and definately I signed up for both!!! Some of the figurines are so much cheaper than SIngapore....thus.. I spent more time at the shops than the museum and chapel... wooops...... I am broke for the next few months... I guess.....
